Psalm 2

  Psalm 2 Why is everything war and politics and scheming and plotting? Those in power, governments and business moguls, set themselves up against God and against His church saying ' We dont need to play by anyones rules.  We dont need to act within any sort of moral framework' The one who sits in heaven laughs.   He mocks them, but He will also show them His anger  and they will feel His deep displeasure.  He will reply  ' I have  set my Son as King over the whole earth'. I will tell you the truth.  God has said to me '  you are my son, today I have given birth to you.  If you ask me I will give you nations, you can have the whole earth if you want it.  You will rule the earth with a rod of iron or throw it away like a broken plate should you so desire' So be wise, governments of the earth.  Watch out you business moguls.  Serve God.  Do it out of respect and with a healthy fear.  Love Jesus,...

  Psalm 147 It’s a good thing to sing praise to God. Its physically beneficial for you and it sounds beautiful too! This is why we sing : Because through praise God builds up His church. He gathers all those who are on the edges and brings them in. He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds. Let us praise Him because He is the One who can number the stars and calls each one by name. He is great, mighty, powerful and has limitless understanding. The Lord lifts up the humble and casts the wicked down to the ground. So sing to The Lord with thanks in your heart, use instruments to praise the God of the seasons and the weather, the rain and the sun. He makes crops grow and provides food for the animals and birds of the earth. He isn’t impressed by the things that impress us - the size of our cars or the physical prowess of the finely honed athlete.   Psalm 146 Praise The Lord.  Mind, will, emotions lets all praise the Lord!  As long as I live I will praise Him.  I shall sing to Him as long as I have breath in my body. Don’t trust governments.  Don’t trust people – they can’t help you.  People die and turn back to dust and on the day they die their plans die with them. Happy is the man who has the God of Jacob as his helper, whose hope is in the Lord his God – the God who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in it :  who is the eternal custodian of Truth and who executes justice for the oppressed.  Who feeds the hungry and releases prisoners.    The Lord opens the eyes of the blind :  He lifts the downtrodden and down cast.  He is passionately in love with the good and godly man .  He watches over those who don’t even acknowledge Him.  He helps the fatherless and the widow but He turns the ways of the wicked on their head. Psalm137

   Psalm 137 In the place of our captivity we sat down and cried when we remembered the way things used to be.  We couldnt praise any more because of the opression we were experiencing - those who had entrapped us wanted us to sing their song, wanted us to be' happy' like the world is happy.  Those mocking voices came to us saying ' HA! So sing us a jolly chorus or a hymn of praise now why dont you?' Its too hard to sing praise in this place.  And yet I cant forget what it used to be like, praising with Gods people.  I dont want to forget it - I want so much to be able to worship and to be able to praise God above all else. Remember our emenies o Lord, the ones who want to lay us waste.  The vengeance of God is coming on the one who has bound us and held us coptive - and I shall rejoice when I see it.

  Psalm  138 I will praise You with everything Ive got,I will sing Your praises in front of anyone who's looking . I will worship in the holy place and praise you for your love, your kindness and your truth.  Your Word is lifted high and magnified above everything. Psalm 135

   Psalm 135 Praise the Lord.  Praise His name everyone.  All who stand in the house of the Lord and in the outer courts of His temple.  Praise Him because He is good.  SIng praise to Him simply because it is fun to do!  Because He has chosen us - we are His special treasure.  I know that God is fantastic, above all other gods.  He does whatever seems good to Him in the heavens and on the earth, in the deepest parts of the sea and high above the earth's atmosphere.  He makes the lightning in the rainstorms and lets the wind out of its hiding place.
